Your Companion

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

Qaf 50:27

قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ 

His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."

Qaf 50:28

قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ 

[ Allah ] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.

Qaf 50:29

مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ 

The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust

Soul is certain enjoiner of evil

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

Yusuf 12:53

وَمَآ أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِىٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌۢ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ إِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّىٓۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 

And I do not acquit myself. Indeed, the soul is a persistent enjoiner of evil, except those upon which my Lord has mercy. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

Man`s supplication, then hopelessness and despairing when evil touches, and then mercy touches, he turns away and when evil touches, he engages in long supplications

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

Fussilat 41:49

لَّا يَسْـَٔمُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِن دُعَآءِ ٱلْخَيْرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَيَـُٔوسٌ قَنُوطٌ 

Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.

Fussilat 41:50

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَٰهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَٰذَا لِى وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّجِعْتُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّىٓ إِنَّ لِى عِندَهُۥ لَلْحُسْنَىٰۚ فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ 

And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.

Fussilat 41:51

وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَآءٍ عَرِيضٍ 

And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication.

A Criterion

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

Al-Anfal 8:29

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا إِن تَتَّقُوا ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ 

O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

It happens to me that I don't understand what is right or wrong. This ayah reminds me to fear Allah. If I fear Him, He will grant me a criteria. And remove my evil from me and forgive me. But fearing Him in its true right also becomes difficult. At least this ayah reminds me to make an effort to be fearful. And I experienced Allah does provide me a criteria if I make an effort to be fearful. Alhamdolillah

Separating Evil From Good

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem 

Aal-e-Imran 3:179

مَّا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّىٰ يَمِيزَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِۗ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَجْتَبِى مِن رُّسُلِهِۧ مَن يَشَآءُۖ فَئَامِنُوا بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۧۚ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ 

Allah would not leave the believers in that [state] you are in [presently] until He separates the evil from the good. Nor would Allah reveal to you the unseen. But [instead], Allah chooses of His messengers whom He wills, so believe in Allah and His messengers. And if you believe and fear Him, then for you is a great reward.

Alhamdolillah. I love this ayah. It gives me strength when unpleasant things happen. Because it reminds that Allah will not leave me on what I am if I am a believer, until He separates the evil for good. Shukr Alhamdolillah 

Also it reminds that Allah will not tell me the unseen. Meaning I will never know the reason of few misfortunes. But if I believe and patient then there will be big reward for me insha Allah. May Allah help become believers. Ameen.

Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you

Assalamoalaekum

I am sharing an ayah that inspired me today. I seek forgivess, guidance and help from  Allah سبحان و تعالى

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

Al-Baqara (البقرة) / 2:216

وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تَكْرَهُوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَىٰٓ أَن تُحِبُّوا۟ شَيْـًٔا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.

  وَعَسَى But perhaps  -  أَنْ [that]  -  تَكْرَهُوا you dislike  -  شَيْئًا a thing  -  وَهُوَ and it  -  خَيْرٌ (is) good  -  لَكُمْ for you;  -  وَعَسَى and perhaps  -  أَنْ [that]  -  تُحِبُّوا you love  -  شَيْئًا a thing  -  وَهُوَ and it  -  شَرٌّ (is)
bad  -  لَكُمْ for you.  -  وَاللَّهُ And Allah  -  يَعْلَمُ knows  -  وَأَنْتُمْ while you  -  لَا (do) not  -  تَعْلَمُونَ know.  -

Many times it happens that I hate a thing that is happening. I hate it and get irritated and when that situation passes, I realize that was the best thing happened to me.  And many times I love certain things without realizing that they are bad for me. But why do I hate certain situations? I hate them because they take me out of my comfort zone. Basically those situations are hard on my soul and I forget that Allah Knows about my soul and I don't know anything. So it is a reminder that Allah always know and I never know. So basically situations become hateful when I start to think that the reverse situation is better for me and I forget that what Allah decided for me is better for me because Allah Knows and I don't know.

Trial with evil and good

اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم

Surah 21. Al-Anbiya, Verse 35:

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Translation:

Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned.

If you do good you do it for yourself

اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم

Surah 17. Al-Isra, Verse 7:

إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا 

Translation:

(And We said): "If you do good, you do good for your ownselves, and if you do evil (you do it) against yourselves." 

Attitude of man when Allah lets him taste good after evil

اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم

Surah 11. Hud, Verse 10:

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ نَعْمَاءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي إِنَّهُ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ

Translation:

But if We let him taste good (favour) after evil (poverty and harm) has touched him, he is sure to say: "Ills have departed from me." Surely, he is exultant, and boastful (ungrateful to Allah).
