أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
I am sharing an ayah that inspired me and how it inspired me. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah. Otherwise I seek forgiveness and guidance for all of us. Ameen.

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 64:
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ
Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor.

Whenever some earthquake happens or a hurricane happens, people say Allah has overtaken with punishment. How can we say that? Or when an affliction strikes a human being, some human being start to think that is a punishment on afflicted person. How can we say that? How can we even know that who is punished by Allah? People think hardships are punishment . I don't agree. A hardship can be turned to blessing if we just get closer to Allah due to that hardship. So what it is? This ayah reminds me that Allah takes the mutrafeen مترفين with punishment. So I wondered who is mutrafeen. And I found out mutrafeen are the affluent ones who basically lead a soft happy life.
