I am sharing an ayah and my reflection on it and how it inspired me. If it is of any benefit, then all praise to Allah. Otherwise I seek forgiveness and guidance for all of us.

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 61:
These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them.

This ayah is about people who hasten to good deeds and they are basically the Foremost in attaining them. And I am stuck here thinking and pondering I am also trying to hasten in good deeds and yet feeling unaccomplished everyday. Why? What I am missing here?
So I went back to read previous 4 ayahs which are basically telling, what do these people do. And I read the Ayah after this one which tells about those who do all the actions listed in previous 4 ayahs.
Here those ayahs
_______
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 57:
Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious,
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 58:
And those who believe in the communications of their Lord,
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 59:
And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord,
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 60:
And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return,
Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 62:
And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.
________
Truly Quran is a reminder. And this reminder is so necessary for all of us. I am grateful to my Creator today that I got the chance to read these ayahs and I am grateful that I find these so relevant to my current situation. I am trying my best to do some good deeds but it seems impossible sometimes that a person like me just gives up hope and starts to think what I am doing wrong that it is becoming Mission impossible.
So Reminder number 1 from ayah 57: They are cautious. I am cautious too alhamdolillah.
Reminder number 2 from ayah 58: They believe in signs of Allah. I claim that I believe in all signs of Allah. But sometimes I forget. If I truly believe in all ayahs than I should not feel unaccomplished if I am trying my best to please Alĺah. Because Allah is الشكور All Appreciative.
Reminder number 3 from ayah 59: They don't associate partner. Well I claim that I don't associate partner. But I feel I need to be more cautious here because showing off is also part of shirk. In fact shirk is very broad. And I can't claim I don't do shirk unless I try really hard to avoid shirk. Oh Allah save me, my family, my offspring, friends, relatives, teachers, leaders and all muslims from shirk because shirk will not be forgiven.
Reminder number 4 from ayah 60: They give while their hearts are full of fear. I believe I am lacking here as well. Most of the time I fear if it is accepted when I give but not all the time. The level of fear changes. Oh Allah make us fearing You even when we sacrifice our dearest belongings. Ameen.
Reminder 5 from ayah 62: Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond its capacity and nobody will be wronged. So if I am doing everything as mentioned in ayah 57 to 60 and yet I feel burdened then I should remember that Allah has a book that speaks truthfully and nobody will be wronged.
Jazakillah khair for reading.
Here is the collection of Quran verses that are life savers. These Ayah inspire me and motivate me to keep going. These ayahs brighten my perspective. They give me strength and hope and contentment. I hope and pray they will benefit you as well.
