Group being mocked still mentioned as Achievers

أعوذ بالله  من الشيطان الرجيم
I am sharing here ayahs that made be stop and I was forced to think alhamdolillah. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah. Oh Allah forgive us and guide us. Ameen.

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 109:
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones.

 Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 110:
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ

But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them.

First ayah is about a group who used to make this duaa

 
 رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

O our Lord! we believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the best of the Merciful ones.

And second ayah is about the people who used to mock the first group.

So I thought first group was a good group. No doubt first group was a good group because they are mentioned as Achievers in ayah 111. What made me stop to think is that second ayah says that first group made second group forget about Allah's rememberance. It inspired me to watch myself before mocking anyone because that will make me forget Allah's remembrance.

Oh Allah make us among those who ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. Ameen. Oh Allah make use conscious of You. Ameen.
