Some of you trial for others

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

Assalamoalaekum السلام عليكم.

I am sharing an ayah below and my reflection on it. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah.  All the shortcoming are due to me. Oh Allah guide us, forgive us and have mercy on us.

Surah Al-Furqan, Verse 20:
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا

And We have not sent before you any apostles but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing.

I am basically thrilled by the part of ayah where Allah said "We have made some of you trial for others".

SubhanAllah. So I might be a trial for somebody and somebody can be trial for me. How true!
On daily basis we get bothered and we bother many sometimes realizing and sometimes not even realizing. I need to remind myself that if I am bothered by someone, may be he/she is a trial for me decided by Allah. What does Allah expect from me? Allah asked in the Ayah "will you bear patiently". So we need to be patient with each other. If we look around we are each trial for one another. Rich is a trial for poor. How? Poor might think why rich one does not spend. Poor is a trial for rich. How? Rich one doesn't spend and might not be grateful. Tall one is a trial for short. And vice versa. Knowledgeable is a trial for not knowledgeable and vice versa. People in power is a trial for those who are under power and vice versa. Oh Allah give us patience. Ameen.

 I am also reminded by Allah alhamdolillah make this duaa to save ourselves from becoming a trial.

 Surah Yunus, Verse 85:
فَقَالُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

So they said: On Allah we rely: O our Lord! make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people.

 Surah Al-Mumtahina, Verse 5:
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Our Lord! do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord! surely Thou art the Mighty, the Wise.
