Greater in the Hereafter

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem
Al-Kahf 18:34

And he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, "I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers of] men."

Al-Kahf 18:36

And I do not think the Hour will occur. And even if I should be brought back to my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a return."

This man thought he was better from other man in wealth and number of supporters. Also he thought he will get better in the next world from what He had in this world. I wonder if I think I am better from someone in this world due to some illusion and I am in this illusion that I will be better from this someone in hereafter and the situations turns exact opposite in hereafter then I would regret a lot. May Allah save us all from this regret in hereafter. Ameen.

Knowledge and Patience

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

Al-Kahf 18:68

And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?"
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Khidr asa said to Musa asa that how can you have patience for what you don't encompass knowledge. I feel I loose patience when I don't have knowledge. I had worst nausea and vomiting in my pregnancies so much so that doing wudu got difficult because I got nausea even with wudu. But I bear because I knew I am going to get beautiful baby. But other than that  I loose patience because I don't have knowledge what more beautiful can I get if I endure my difficulty with patience. Subhan Allah. May Allah strengthen our iman. Ameen.

He Whom Allah Guides is the Guided

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

Al-Kahf 18:17

And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah . He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray -  never will you find for him a protecting guide.

Allah o Akbar. This ayah is a sign of Allah. Allah is telling how He controlled the sun so that it just gives the benefit to those young boys of faith. Everybody knows sunlight is necessary for our well being and we also know that extra amount of sunlight or sunlight at particular times of day can be harmful for us. But for those young adult Allah controlled the sun to give them the benefit only and to save them from harm. Subhan Allah. Why did Allah did such a big thing for those boys? Because they believed and stood up for truth. Allah o Akbar. And they were young. When we are young, it is most hard time to truly believe and to stand up for truth. Most of the people start to believe in middle age including me on top of the list. In youth it is easy to get distracted. But they didn't. I lost my youth doing that. Subhan Allah. But even now if I truly believe, i have assurance through this ayah that Allah can make things easy for me by controlling His creation, like He controlled the sun for them. Subhan Allah. May Allah make us believe. Ameen.

Are we patient enough?
