There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers

And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."

Al-Anbiya 21:88

So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.

Al-Anbiya 21:89

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors."

Al-Anbiya 21:90

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

Doing the Hard Thing

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

An-Nisa' 4:66

And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].

It happens that Allah asks us to do few things but it gets hard on soul. For example killing the ego is hard on soul. Being humble is hard on soul. And I don't take the courage of doing hard stuff. And i choose to do just the easy stuff. While Allah said, if they had done what they are instructed, that would have been better for them and a firmer position. But I ignore or I loose the courage to do difficult stuff or don't feel the importance of difficult stuff. While is it promised it is firmer position. May Allah give us sight and hearing to feel the importance of difficult stuff and give us the courage to do it. Ameen

Humility on the Day of Judgement

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

Ta Ha 20:111

And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice.

I wonder no matter how unhumble I am in this world, i will need to humble that day. And I will fail if I carry injustice. May Allah save us from all  injustices that we do knowingly or unknowingly. Ameen.

Translation:
On that Day mankind will follow strictly (the voice of) Allah's caller, no crookedness (that is without going to the right or left of that voice) will they show him (Allah's caller). And all voices will be humbled for the Most Beneficent (Allah), and nothing shall you hear but the low voice of their footsteps.
