Migration

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

An-Nisa' 4:72

And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, " Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them."

I feel that I need to migrate. Because with continuous reading of Quran, I realized that there is great reward in migration. I also realize that migration doesn't mean migrating from one country to another but it is also the intention to leave the bad. That's what hijr means. First time I hear hijr has a different meaning than migration from one country to other, I was really surprised and didn't believe on second definition. I thought first kind of migration is harder than the second kind of migration but it is actually second kind of migration that is harder because that is right against soul and that is always harder. And it gets even harder when the affliction strikes and someone like the one in this ayah say oh Allah favored me while I didn't do what this person who is struck with affliction did. Subhan Allah. May Allah save us from the people like that. Ameen.  And May Allah strengthen our iman  that when we migrate either physically or spiritually, and we encounter people like these, we don't get weak. Ameen.

Doing the Hard Thing

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

An-Nisa' 4:66

And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].

It happens that Allah asks us to do few things but it gets hard on soul. For example killing the ego is hard on soul. Being humble is hard on soul. And I don't take the courage of doing hard stuff. And i choose to do just the easy stuff. While Allah said, if they had done what they are instructed, that would have been better for them and a firmer position. But I ignore or I loose the courage to do difficult stuff or don't feel the importance of difficult stuff. While is it promised it is firmer position. May Allah give us sight and hearing to feel the importance of difficult stuff and give us the courage to do it. Ameen

Mankind is Created Weak

Aaoodhoo billahe minashaitan rajeem

 An-Nisa' 4:27

Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.

 An-Nisa' 4:28

And Allah wants to lighten for you [your difficulties]; and mankind was created weak.

Many times It happens that I want to achieve something big. Something big in ayahs of Allah but seems ridiculous in terms of worldly gain. For example living like Prophet Muhammad saw in a small home, eating like him meaning eating just how much is needed, wearing like him meaning not wearing extravagant dresses, spending like him meaning not hoarding any money or gold for family and children, trusting on Allah like him, strengthening the family ties ignoring their injustices, working like him meaning taking care of my chores myself without depending on maids etc.  I might have good intention but I don't know how-to achieve it. I share the idea with somebody and that somebody is under the influence of Satan right now and starts discouraging me about it and I loose the courage. That's where ayah 27, 28 helps. We are created weak and we get even weaker by doing all extra stuff that Prophet Muhammad saw didn't do and then deviate from main purpose. May Allah save us all from those who follow their desires and May Allah strengthen our iman. Ameen.
