Remembrance of Allah

Oh those who believe, let not divert you your wealth and children from remembrance of Allah

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

Al-Munafiqun 63:9

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ 

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah . And whoever does that -  then those are the losers.

Al-Munafiqun 63:10

وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَٰكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ 

And spend [in the way of Allah ] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

Al-Munafiqun 63:11

وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

Allah's guidance, shivering of the skin and then relaxing of skin and hearts on remembrance of Allah

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

Az-Zumar 39:23

ٱللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْحَدِيثِ كِتَٰبًا مُّتَشَٰبِهًا مَّثَانِىَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ يَهْدِى بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَمَن يُضْلِلِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْ هَادٍ 

Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray -  for him there is no guide.

Men who are not distracted

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

Assalamoalaekum السلام عليكم

I am sharing an ayah and my reflection on it which inspired me today. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah. All the shortcoming are due to me. Oh Allah guide us, forgive us and have mercy on us. Ameen

Surah An-Noor, Verse 37:
رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَارَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ الْقُلُوبُ وَالْأَبْصَارُ

Men whom neither merchandise nor selling diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of poor-rate; they fear a day in which the hearts and eyes shall turn about;

 Surah An-Noor, Verse 38:
لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ وَاللَّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

That Allah may give them the best reward of what they have done, and give them more out of His grace; and Allah gives sustenance to whom He pleases without measure.

These ayahs are also connected with ayah 35 and 36. As it is telling what kind of men go to the mosques or places/homes that are exalted and Allah is remembered and glorified there.

So it is kind of men

1. Who are NOT distracted by merchandise and selling
2. They fear a day when hearts and eyesights are over turned.

Some might say this ayah is relevant to business people only but not relevant to working class. I would say every body is involved in the business either in the form of employee or employer. So i would say this ayah applies to working class as well as business class.

Now why are they distracted by merchandise and selling because that is how they earn their money to support themselves and their family. And I would say this kind of distraction is there for every man who goes out to work either as a business man or as an employee working for a business. Alhamdolillah I am saved by this kind of distraction alhamdolillah. No words of acknowledgement and thanks can be enough.

Now my FIRST job is to make duaa for those who is being distracted by selling and merchandise and stopped going to the mosque and this distraction is preventing them to remember Allah and establish Salah and to give Zakah. May Allah save us all from every distraction and may Allah help us remain focused all the time and may Allah help us do something all the time to make Him happy.

And my SECOND job is the make duaa that we all fear the day when eyesights and hearts will be overturned.

Now coming back to the reason why men get distracted in their work and business. They get distracted because they have to support families and they spend from رزق or provision that Allah provided them. Ayah 38 came as an encouragement for those men who are trying their best to support their families and get distracted by business or work. It reminds them that Allah will reward them according to the best of what they do and Allah will give them even more out of His grace. ALLAH AKBAR. Only Allah can reward a person according to best of what they do.

So my THIRD job as a woman is to encourage my man for his efforts and to remind him that Allah will reward him according to best of his efforts and to remind both of us that Allah provides to whom He wills without account as mentioned in ayah 38.

And my FOURTH job as a Muslim women to make dua for all men that Allah save them from distraction of selling, merchandise, business and work which distracted them from remembering Allah, establishing prayer and giving of zakah.

Mosques

Surah An-Noor, Verse 36:
فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَن تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ

In houses which Allah has permitted to be exalted and that His name may be remembered in them; there glorify Him therein in the mornings and the evenings,

This ayah is connected with ayah 35. Ayah 35 is one of my favorite ayah as well but I feel I won't be able to do justice if I say anything about ayah 35 right now. But one thing I understand at this moment is that ayah 35 talked about heart of believer along with other things. And this ayah is telling that heart of a believer is basically in houses which Allah has permitted to be exalted. Allah has permitted the mosques to be exalted. Allah o Akbar. And then Allah said His name is remembered in it. Allah o Akbar. In what other place do we see that Allah's name is remembered. No other place but mosque. Everybody going into the mosque is going to remember Allah. And if nobody goes there and there is still prayer going there, Allah's name is still remembered by Quran recitation in prayers. And it is the place where Allah is glorified morning and evening. SUBHANALLAH. What other place on earth has these actions going in there? Nowhere except a mosque.

Everybody who has visited the Grand Mosques in Makkah and Madina must have felt a tranquility that is felt nowhere else. Because those mosques, Allah permitted to be most exalted. And Allah is remembered by so many muslims there all the time and Allah is glorified by so many muslims all the time. SUBHANALLAH.

I also felt that anybody who has gone there has an impact young or old, rich or poor, man or women. I would say anybody who goes to any mosque for Allah's sake will have good impact inshaAllah. Why? Because mosques are the best place on earth. And why is that? Because Allah has exalted them as mentioned in this ayah.

Also I wanted to note here that the word  مسجد is not used in the Ayah but the word بيوت is used in ayah. So it can be any house that Allah can exalt where Allah is remembered and Allah is glorified. والله اعلم

May Allah help us establish prayers in congregation whenever possible and may Allah help make our homes places of His remembrance and glorification.

May Allah give us the opportunity to go to the Grand Mosques again andd again for Allah's sake and may Allah give us opportunity to go to mosques on daily basis to please Him, to remember Him and to glorify Him. Ameen.

We need a company for being patient

اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم

Surah 18. Al-Kahf, Verse 28:

وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُ فُرُطًا

Translation:

And keep yourself (O Muhammad SAW) patiently with those who call on their Lord (i.e. your companions who remember their Lord with glorification, praising in prayers, etc., and other righteous deeds, etc.) morning and afternoon, seeking His Face, and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our Remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair (deeds) has been lost.
