Sound heart

Assalamoalaekum

I am sharing an ayah below which inspired me today. It is about heart. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah. All the shortcomings are due to me. Oh Allah grant us with a sound heart.

Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil).

This ayah is connected with ayah 88, which says

______

 Surah Ash-Shuara, Verse 88:

The day on which property will not avail, nor sons
_______

It warns me that no matter how much wealth or sons I have, it won't avail me on that day unless I go with Qalb E Saleem. So i needed to research on it and then reflect that whether I have a Qalb e Saleem or not.

From Quran I found,

_________

Allah said:

Verily, among his people was Abraham, when he came to his Lord with a pure heart.

Surah As-Saffat 37:83-84
_________

So Prophet Ibrahim had the sound heart. My job is to ponder upon the ayahs related to Ibrahim asa to learn about his heart. Oh Allah give us the Qalb Saleem.

From Quran I also found

______

 Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 24:

O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Apostle when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be gathered.

_______

That means I need to humble myself to Allah because He can intervene between a man and his heart. Allah o Akbar. Tafsir of this ayah tells that Allah prevents believer from disbelief, also Allah prevents a man from his heart. That means a person cannot believe or disbelief without Allah's leave.

From Hadith  I found

________

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Verily, when the believer commits a sin, a black spot appears upon his heart. If he repents and abandons the sin and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be polished, but if he increases in sin, the blackness increases. That is the covering which Allah has mentioned in his Book: Nay, but on their hearts is a covering because of what they earned. (83:14)

__________

That means I need to stay away from sin and ask for forgiveness continously to have a sound heart.

From another hadith I found

_______

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me:

O boy, if you are able every morning and evening to remove any rancor from your heart towards anyone, then do so.

________

That means I need to get rid of the rancor every morning and evening.

I also found this Hadith

______
Umm Salamah by Shihr who said : ‘I said to Umm Salamah : ‘O Mother of the Believers, what is the duaa’ which the Prophet (sallahAllaahu alayhi wasallam) would supplicate the most while in your presence? ’

So she said : ‘The frequent supplication of his was :

“O, Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience.”

And also reported by Imaam Ahmad , from the hadeeth of ‘Aisha (radhiyaAllaahu anha): ‘The Dua’ which the Prophet (sallahAllaahu alayhi wasallam) used to supplicate with a lot…’ then she mentioned it.

Taken from Silsilah as-Saheeha of Al-Imaam Al-Albaanee : 2091
_____

So I really need to make this dua very often inshaAllah.
