Why has He raised some of us in ranks?

اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم

Surah 6. Al-Anaam, Verse 165:

Translation:
And it is He Who has made you generations coming after generations, replacing each other on the earth. And He has raised you in ranks, some above others that He may try you in that which He has bestowed on you. Surely your Lord is Swift in retribution, and certainly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

  1. Health, wealth, fame, offsprings, beauty, family, houses, transportation, knowledge, degrees, righteousness, jobs all identify ranks in humans and there are some more ranks specified by Our Khaaliq خالق and that is husband over wife, parents over children. And we often use our ranks to feel high. But let me remind myself and you that the purpose of these ranks are to test us what Allah gave us.

  2. I feel so small when He says "ranks are given so that He may Test what He has given". Wordings are not " so that He may test what they have" . Whatever we have is given by Him and He gave us everything for a purpose. Oh Allah help us use our ranks and resources for Your service and accept from us our smallest efforts. Ameen.

  3. I feel scared with words سريع العقاب Swift in Retribution and then I get hopeful with words غفور رحيم oft Forgiving and Most Merciful.

    1. That is the beauty of Allah"s words QURAN it tell you your responsibility at the same time He give us hope that even if unable to fulfill our duty He will help us either just counting our efforts or by forgiving our shortcoming. Bashir and Nadhir always come back to back. Quran is the best spiritual power we have
