Surah 16. An-Nahl, Verse 99:
Translation:
Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah).
Surah 16. An-Nahl, Verse 100:
Translation:
His power is only over those who obey and follow him (Satan), and those who join partners with Him (Allah) [i.e. those who are Mushrikun - polytheists - see Verse 6:121].
At times we feel that we cannot get rid of satan's influence. Right. Answer is in this ayah. Satan has no power on those who believe and put their trust in Allah. It is when we stop trusting Allah, then we are overpowered by satan. Oh Allah help us trust You and save us from satan. Ameen.
ReplyDeleteAnother scenario of being overpowered by satan is when we do shirk or when we associate partners with Allah. We keep saying we don't do shirk and yet we do it. If not then why are we overpowered by satan. For example if we are bothered by decisions of others, especially the ones affecting us, why do we get upset? Why don't we remind ourselves that all decisions are made by Allah, why do we believe people are making decisions?
