Assalamoalaekum
I am sharing an ayah below which inspired me today. If it is of any benefit then all praise to Allah. All the shortcomings are due to me.
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
--------
قَالُوٓا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ
"They said, Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?"
(Al Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26: Verse 111)
-------
Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest? This was the statement of people of Prophet Nuh عليه السلام as the people in lower class accepted islam and even those were few.
And this is the story today. Nobody gets inspired if a person in lower class accepts Islam. But if a strong personality in terms of wealth or status accepts Islam, it becomes a news. SubhanAllah.
It reminds me of human nature that when a human is going through difficult time and emotionally or physically tested, it is easier for him or her to see and feel the truth. And when Allah removes that difficulty, it gets harder to see the truth.
It reminds me to make duaa that Allah gives me the sight and hearing to see and hear when I am strong in worldly sense.
It also reminds to make duaa that Allah doesn't put us in a scenario of lowest class and that Allah make us an inspiration for others to believe instead of a trial.
It also reminds not to look down upon people in lower class as we don't know who is Allah's favorite.
Oh Allah save us from thoughts of actions of nations that passed away and being destroyed.
Ameen.
