Two words or sides of Satan

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 48:
وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٌ لَّكُمْ فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّنكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

And when the Shaitan made their works fair seeming to them, and said: No one can overcome you this day, and surely I am your protector: but when the two parties came in sight of each other he turned upon his heels, and said: Surely I am clear of you, surely I see what you do not see, surely I fear Allah; and Allah is severe in requiting (evil).

SubhanAllah. What a contrast!
Satan said I am your Protector and no one can overcome you but he changed his statement when he saw the two groups meeting. And yet we are deceived by him. Another thing which is amazing is that he said "I fear Allah" and still he rebelled. And that's what we do. And another thing that is amazing is that he said "I see what you don't see". So that he is given more power to see than humans and yet he was not humble. So we should not see if we could see more we would have obeyed.
