اعوذ بالله من الشيطن الرجيم
Surah 12. Yusuf, Verse 22:
وَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Translation:
And when he [Yusuf (Joseph)] attained his full manhood, We gave him wisdom and knowledge (the Prophethood), thus We reward the Muhsinun (doers of good).
I always wonder why I have too less wisdom. Why don't I know what to say when? Why don't I know how to handle difficult situations? Why don't I know how to handle difficult personalities? I keep making duaa for wisdom, رب هب لي حكما و ألحقني بالصالحين and yet I feel deprived of wisdom. This ayah reminds to become a Muhsin, a good doer. Because Allah rewards Muhsineen with knowledge and wisdom. But what is a good doer? Many are doing good. Am I doing for fame, to gain praise or to show off? Because then it will not be accepted. Oh Allah help us do good exclusively for You. Ameen.
