أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 

At-Taghabun 64:14

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَّكُمْ فَٱحْذَرُوهُمْۚ وَإِن تَعْفُوا۟ وَتَصْفَحُوا۟ وَتَغْفِرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 

O you who have believed, indeed, among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. But if you pardon and overlook and forgive -  then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

My reflections on this Quran verse

How can my spouse and children be my enemy? They can be my enemy when they don’t let me do what pleases Allah. They can be enemy when they hinder my work that Allah made obligatory on me. I want to remind my self every day of following duaa.

  رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy/coolness of our eyes, and make us guides to those who 

guard against evil
