He gives you that you ask Him

Surah Ibrahim, Verse 34:

And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful.

A great reminder! Oh Allah make us grateful and just. Ameen.

Allah gives you all that you ask Him. What a great blessing! Alhamdolillah. So the problem lies with us. We don't ask for the right things. We ask for things that might not be good for us.
This reminds me Prophet Nooh's asa duaa.

Surah Hud, Verse 47:

He said: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from asking Thee that of which I have no knowledge; and if Thou shouldst not forgive me and have mercy on me, I should be of the losers.

This also reminds me to make this duaa

 Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 201:

And there are some among them who say: Our Lord! grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

This also reminds me to make this duaa that Prophet Muhammad (saw) made

O Allah! Indeed I ask You of all good which Your servant and Prophetۖ asked for and I seek refuge in You from all evils that Your servant and Prophetۖ sought refuge from.

Ok sometimes we are asking for right things and still we feel like Allah doesn't answer. Then may be there is a problem in our ways of asking.

Allah said:

 Surah Al-Araf, Verse 55:

Call on your Lord humbly and secretly; surely He does not love those who exceed the limits.

 Surah Al-Araf, Verse 56:

And do not make mischief in the earth after its reformation, and call on Him fearing and hoping; surely the mercy of Allah is nigh to those who do good (to others).

That means we need to have humbleness, secrecy, fear and hope when we are asking.

In another place Allah said:

 Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 8:

And when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his Lord turning to Him frequently; then when He makes him possess a favor from Him, he forgets that for which he called upon Him before, and sets up rivals to Allah that he may cause (men) to stray off from His path. Say: Enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little, surely you are of the inmates of the fire.

That means we have to turn to Allah frequently all the time in order to our prayers be answered.

In another place Allah says
 Surah Fussilat, Verse 51:

And when We show favor to man, he turns aside and withdraws himself; and when evil touches him, he makes lengthy supplications.

That means we should never turn aside from Allah and we should make lengthy supplications all the time.

In another place Allah says

 Surah Yunus, Verse 12:

And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction from him, he passes on as though he had never called on Us on account of an affliction that touched him; thus that which they do is made fair-seeming to the extravagant.

That means we need to make dua lying, sitting, standing all the time and we need to remember all this in our good times as well.
