How do we become wrong doers الظلمين?

وَلَا تَدْعُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِّنَ الظّٰلِمِينَ
And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'"
[QS. Yunus: Verse 106]


How often does it happen that we get into a problem and we start calling friends and families to inform them about it. Sometimes just to vent out but end up doing backbiting. Or sometimes we end up telling flaws of our spouses to someone while Allah told spouses are coverings for each other and covering usually hide what is inside. Sometimes wives complain to husband's about in laws but fact of the matter is that nobody can benefit or harm except Allah.


By calling somebody other than Allah we are only becoming wrong doers and bringing no benefit to ouselves. Because nobody can bring harm or benefit except Allah. This act not only lessens our trust in Allah but it also weakens our connection with Allah. Oh Allah give us strength to rely on you.

But sometimes we need to discuss our matters with someone. I am not say never call friends and families for sharing anythung. All I am saying, don't call just to vent out. Call to get advise.

Prophet Yaqoob peace be on him said

Surah Yusuf, Verse 86:
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

He said: I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, and I know from Allah what you do not know.


Also I need to remind myself that I need to make this dua to protect me from every evil.


اَعُوْذُ بِکَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ۔

I seek refuge in the complete, perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
   

میں پناه مانگتا ہوں الله کے تمام کلمات کے ساتھ، ہر اُس چیز کے شر سے جو اُس نے پیدا کی ہے۔
