Reward of patient ones will be according to the best they used to do

مَا عِنْدَكُمْ يَنْفَدُ ۖ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ بَاقٍ ۗ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوٓا أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
[QS. An-Nahl: Verse 96]


Allah o Akbar!
This can be done only by Allah subhana wa taalaa سبحان و تعالى

Allah said, those are patient will be rewarded according to the best of they used to do. Just consider a game. Let's take racing. One person might be running with the highest speed at one point but he still might loose despite of being highest at one point. Winner will be the one who was high all the time. OK forget about this, consider scrabble. The winner is the person who makes words of high values all the time, not just once. Consider an exam. Are we graded the best due to one question that we did excellent but we couldn't do other questions? But Allah is going to reward according the best we do. One deed saved the prostitute and one deed ruined the lady who kept the cat starving. We don't know which of our deed is accepted. But let's try to achieve something excellent everyday. To Allah, quantity doesn't matter but quality matters. But the condition is that we need to be patient.

رَبَّنَا اَفْرِغْ عَلَیْنَا صَبْرًا وَّ تَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِیْنَ

Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You].

اے ہمارے رب! ہم پر صبر انڈیل دے اور ہمیں مسلمان فوت کرنا۔

( الأعراف : 126 )

رَبَّنَآ اَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَّ ثَبِّتْ اَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَی الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِيْنَ

Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.

اے ہمارے رب! ہم پر صبر انڈیل دے اور ہمارے قدم جما دے اور کافر قوم کے مقابلے میں ہماری مدد فرما۔

( البقرة : 250 )

Also there is reminder that whatever we have will be finished. Whether it is our body, wealth, knowledge, beauty, fame, happiness, job, life everything will come to end. But whatever is with Allah is lasting. OH Allah help us not be deceived by what we have but oh Allah help us to use what we have to achieve the lasting pleasure.
